CITY police need your help identifying 11 wallets, one handbag and a designer diaper bag in an ongoing break-and-enter investigation.

The men's and women's wallets were put on display yesterday in the hope their rightful owners will call police.

They were seized several days ago when officers arrested a 41-year-old man for breaching a conditional sentence he received in 2004 for other related crimes.

None of the wallets or Mulberry Bags Replica bags had any identification.

Det. Sgt. John O'Donovan christian audigier clothing said it appears the suspect kept the empty wallets as "trophies." In most cases, thieves dump them immediately after plucking out cash and credit cards.

The suspect is charged with two known break-ins and police now want to connect the wallets and bags to other break-ins.

The first burglary happened Aug. 23 when someone broke into a residence in the 200 block of Conway Street while the resident was working in the yard. A purse containing cash, credit cards and personal items was stolen.

On Sept. 15, a man broke into a residence in the 300 block of Churchill Drive while the resident was working in the yard. Jewelry and a purse containing cash, credit cards and personal items valuing a total of $3,000 were taken.

Rodney Charles Dutiaume is charged with two counts of breaking and entering and two counts of possession and use of someone else's credit card. He remains at the Winnipeg Remand Centre with an Oct. 16 court date.
