Police are hunting a gang of robbers who attacked five pensioners during a 15-minute spate of attacks in the Black Country.
The three muggers, who were driving a stolen car, targeted the elderly women, who were walking alone in Dudley on Monday.
They first struck at 11.45am at a bus stop in Buffrey Road, Tipton, where one of them knocked a 67-year-old woman to the ground Gucci Earrings before snatching her purse. Minutes later they pulled up alongside a 75-year-old woman in Charles Road, Quarry Bank, and one of the gang leapt out and Other Brands Jewellery grabbed her handbag.
The gang also snatched the handbag of a 71-year-old woman in Heath Road, Dudley, but their final victim, a 63-year-old, who was attacked in nearby Bunns Lane, fought them off.
The gang, all white and aged between 17 and 25, drove off from a Tesco filling station without paying for fuel minutes before the robberies began.
Officers are appealing for witnesses to the
embroidered patches attacks and information about the stolen Rover 25 car, registration BK02 UGY, which has not been found.
