RESIDENTIAL: from RM2 million
Rolex fake LET'S take time to recollect the past ... do you remember what it was like living in and around Kuala Lumpur 30 years back? For those living in satellite townships surrounding the capital city in the 80s, a drive into KL was very much a day trip event to an out-of- the- way destination - and if you lived in somewhere like Klang, such a trip may have even required a bit of planning.
Back then too, the concept of "luxury living" was acutely limited to sprawling bungalows found around the Selangor Race Course (now KL City Centre), in Kenny Hills or a handful of residential pockets around Ampang.
Over the years, progressive development and the conurbation of KL with its surrounding communities have changed the face of the city.
Not only has the capital seamlessly connected with its neighbours, but a myriad of new highways and byways have also catalysed the creation of new urban hubs within the district's ever expanding perimeters.
What's more, the new definition of KL has also redefined our notions of luxury living and elegant addresses.
Using innovative and unique concepts - aided by improved connectivity - developers have shaped many new areas into the havens of indulgence today, no longer limiting this appelation to areas enjoying proximity to the city centre.
A locale that has established itself as an alternative luxury address is the Mont' Kiara neighbourhood in KL. And now Sunway City Bhd, a developer that contributed to the reshaping of the Klang Valley with its Bandar Sunway township, is looking to redefine the meaning of "luxury living" in Mont' Kiara with its upmarket highrise Sunway Vivaldi.
Developed by its subsidiary Sunway D'Mont Kiara Sdn Bhd, the RM677 million project taking shape on 7.7 acres in Jalan 19/70a on the fringe of Mont' Kiara in Desa Sri Hartamas will draw from a unique source of inspiration - the famous 19th century violinist and composer Antonio Vivaldi - to create an address of class and sophistication.
"Inspired by this world renowned Venetian composer, Sunway Vivaldi is conceived as the symbol of passion, imagination and elegance ... built to exacting standards of sophistication," said Sunway City's property development division managing director Ho Han Sang.
Featuring 228 condominium units contained in three nine-storey blocks and three 20-storey towers, Sunway Vivaldi offers 66 four- bedroom units starting from 2,573sq ft, and 162 five-bedroom duplexes starting from 9,171sq ft. Prices range between RM2 million and RM7.5 million.
According to Ho, the project is designed and built with the resident in mind, and space and exclusivity are its highlights. Not only does it enjoy a low density of 30 units per acre, each unit also boasts 21ft double-volume ceiling height in the living area.
"The average density for other developments in Mont' Kiara is 70 units per acre," he pointed out.
Every unit comes fully fitted with kitchen cabinets and appliances, and a private lift lobby at its entrance.
pandora charms Adding to Sunway Vivaldi's allure are a host of facilities, including an Olympiclength swimming pool, a glass enclosed cantilevered gymnasium, wading pool, an outdoor Jacuzzi and BBQ area, tennis court, squash court as well as a clubhouse with a games room, cafeteria and laundry room.
