Today is the biggest day for hockey, at least in the preliminary rounds. The most anticipated game in Vancouver takes place as the U.S. and Canada face off, a rematch of the gold-medal contest from the 2002 Games in Salt Lake City. Rival neighbors also clash as the Czech Republic plays Russia and Sweden faces Finland.

Park City's Ted Ligety and fellow American Bode Miller buckle back into their skis in the men's super-comined event. The downhill portion is first with the slalom race to follow.
